Ultrasound Therapy

What is Ultrasound Therapy?
Ultrasound therapy is a service utilized in our chiropractic office to handle joint injuries, muscle spasms and cramps, and damaged soft tissue. Though ultrasound therapy shares the same name as the traditional ultrasound, it does not internally screen the body to diagnose heart issues. Instead, this type of ultrasound creates small waves of sound that vibrate soft tissues and muscle and, in effect, massage those areas to relieve tension. In addition to decreasing scar tissue, ultrasound waves are effective in naturally optimizing the body to release endorphins.
Ultrasonic Heat
With the help of an ultrasound machine, certain ultrasonic waves also create a heating effect to help relieve muscle tension in the body. As an addition to regular ultrasound procedures, the heating element aids in streamlining the healing process at the most basic cellular level.
